Eric Rohmer's Tales of the Four Seasons

One of the most important details about me is that I am a true Eric Rohmer loyalist. No director has ever been able to capture the nuances of messy situationships in your 20s through such an artful lens.

Not only this, Rohmer is a tried and true philosophy scholar who manages to integrate his love for it into his dialogue effortlessly. It takes the “sitting around and debating for four hours” nature of being French to the next level and I have yet to see someone do it better than him.
